Some candles have tea light candles in the gel or an artificial light of some sort. Tea light candles, the battery operated lights, and the mini lights can be replaced. Therefore, you do not have to purchase another base candle.
To remove a lot of dust or fix a distortion you can use a heater gun or place your candle in an oven warmed to 110 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit until gel is solidified (after dusting). Remove from oven and allow to cool. Preheating can be accomplished in many different means including heat guns, heat lamps or any "dry" heat source. (Do not dip in hot water.)
